Q1. Write five sentences on how you have benefited from transport facilities.

Ans: 1) By transport facilities time and effort are saved.

2) We can go to school by bus.

3) We can go to office by train.

4) We can reach anywhere in minimum time by transport facilities.

Q2. List four other facilities that have become available in the local area due to transport facilities.

Ans: 1) Due to vehicle we can reach at school, office, home on time.

2) It is easy to move anything which is movable from one place to another.

3) We are able to visit friends, relatives.

4) We get daily newspaper.

5) By transport facility it is possible for seller to move their products from one place to another.

Q3. Suggest four solutions to reduce the burden on the local transport.

Ans: Following solutions can be implemented to reduce the burden on the local transport:

1) People can share each others vehicles.

2) Use cycles which will benefit in many ways like exercise, reducing pollution, reducing burden on public transport, reducing the expenditure on fuel.

3) Avoid unnecessary travelling, travel only if it is necessary.

4) If the distance is not too far then walk instead of using transport. Walking is a good exercise for our heart and body.

Q4. Find the area in your locality with the least pollution. Why is this the least polluted area?

Ans: There is a temple and a garden, in front of the temple there is no pollution as that is at one corner of our town. Very less vehicles go there. It is like a natural place.

Q5. Write the full forms of CNG and LPG.

Ans: The full form of CNG is Compressed Natural Gas and the full form of LPG is Liquefied Petroleum Gas.

Q6. (a) In the above picture, which vehicle is causing pollution?

Ans: In the above picture bus is making lot of pollution.

(b) What remedy will you suggest to reduce the pollution caused by this vehicle?

Ans: 1) There must be some problem in its engine.

2) It should be repaired.

3) Its servicing should be done time to time.

4) If the bus is old than it must be banned from transport.
