Ans: Water supply, electricity supply, health services, education and transport are some important public services.

Ans: Each Child has the right to go to school and learn.

(a) Which public services do we use?

Ans: We all use public services like water supply, electricity supply, health services, education and transport. We also use postal service, telephone, fire brigade, police, banks, theatres, parks, gardens and swimming pools.

(b) Why should schools have Parent Teacher Association and Mata Palak Sangh?

Ans: To bring about a dialogue between parents and teachers schools have Parent teacher association and Mata palak Sangh. Through this parents can help in various activities of the school. For the benefit of students their interactions are necessary.

Q4. Write what will happen -

(a) If boys and girls are not given an equal right to education.

Ans: If boys and girls are not given an equal right to education the balance of social life will collapse.

(b) If the community does not help the school.

Ans: If the community does not help the school it will not achieve their aim. Schools will not develop. School will not construct classrooms, libraries, laboratories and will not get sports equipment without the help of community.

(c) If public services and facilities are not used responsibly.

Ans: If public services and facilities are not used responsibly it will create problems for others in many ways. The local bodies and government will not provide some services on time or in quality.
